2003 Summer Social

The annual summer social at St. Mary's Parish netted $18,155.87 Sunday, June 22. There were 1150 suppers served. Donations and support by area businesses help make the social a financial success. Thanks to all those who supported the parish social, provided food and worked at the event.
Sales of the four beautiful quilts, which are shown below, were as follows;
1. Star Log Cabin: $675 purchased by Will & Charity Nordhus, R 1, Seneca
2. Bells of St. Mary's: $500 purchased by Steve & Donna Sudbeck, R 1, Seneca
3. Harmony: $500 purchased by Gary & Brenda Niehues, Seneca
4. Irish Chain: $250 purchased by Mike & Beth Deters, R 1, Baileyville.
Other handcrafted items sold included:
- Christmas Tree Skirt by Marilyn Holthaus: $230 purchased by Kevin & Karen Holthaus
- Oak cabinet by Nordhus Woodworking: $175 purchased by Mary Alice & Stanley Schmitz
- Crocheted doily by Richard and Arlene $75 to Todd & Misty Bloom
- Crocheted doily by David and Donna Nordhus: $30 purchased by Will & Charity Henry
- Embroidered dresser scarf by Odeila Sudbeck: $45 purchased by Mike & Beth Deters
- Quilt rack by Hilltop Creations: $45 purchased by Duane & Lois Crosier
- Oil painting by Robert and Shana Engelken: $20 purchased by Lillian & Clarence Engelken
Quilt leaders are already scouring for patters for their 2004 designs, so mark your calendars for Sunday, June 20, 2004.
